Funding your Aella account can be carried out in via two channels. This guide will show you how to fund your Aella account.
Fund account using Debit Card as a new customer
- Click the 'Add money' button below your account balance on the home screen.
- The Card option is selected as the default
- Supply the amount you want to fund your account.
- Click 'Add New Card'.
- Supply card number, expiry date and CVV.
- Supply one-time password sent by the bank to your phone to authenticate transaction.
- Once the transaction is successful, your account balance will reflect it.
Fund account using Debit Card as a returning customer
- Click the 'Add money' button below your account balance on the home screen.
- The Card option is selected as the default
- Supply the amount you want to fund your account.
- Select the card you want to use or click the 'Add New card' button to provide card details of new card.
- Once transaction is successful, your account balance will reflect it.
Note: Funding your account using your debit card comes at zero fee. We also don't charge any fee to maintain an account on the Aella App.
Fund account using bank transfer
- Click the 'Add money' button on the home screen.
- Select 'Transfer'
- Copy or share the account number provided to be used in sending the money.
Note: Ensure that the account name displayed on the banking app used to send money matches the one displayed on the Aella App.
Fund account using USSD
- Click the 'Add money' button below your account balance on the home screen.
- Select 'USSD'
- Supply the amount you want to fund your account.
- Select the bank that you want to use to fund the account. Click Generate Code
- Once the code has been generated, dial the code or copy it
- Once transaction is successful, your account balance will reflect it.
Note: Ensure that the account name displayed on the USSd used to send money matches the one displayed on the Aella App. The USSD charge fee and authorization is dependent on the bank you used.
